Description: The Costech EA/MAT 252 is used to measure elemental and isotopic composition of solid samples containing C and N. Our analysts can measure elemental and isotopic composition with weight % greater than 0.1% C or N. In most cases we can measure for C and N in a single sample. We are in the process of developing techniques to measure both 34/32S as well as 33/32S with a new collector array on solid samples. Check back for progress update.

Our detection limits are 0.3% C and 0.1% N. While the reproducibility for d13C and d15N depends on the %C and %N present in the sample, in general the reproducibility is + 0.20/00 and + 0.350/00 for d13C and d15N, respectively.
