Description: The Thermo Scientific ISQ LT single quadrupole GC/MS is a high-throughput benchtop instrument that is used to screen, characterize, and quantify organic compounds in diverse matrices.  It is also equipped with a flame ionization detector (FID) and electron capture detector (ECD), and the autosampler is capable of injecting both microscale liquid and headspace gas samples.

Mercury Analyzer

Description: The mercury analyzer is used to determine mercury concentrations in liquid and solid samples. The DMA-80 is based on the principles of sample thermal decomposition, mercury amalgamation and atomic absorption detection. 

Analytical Method: Mercury in liquids and solids is analyzed by thermal decomposition, amalgamation and atomic absorption spectrometry using EPA Method 7473. Samples must be stored at 4ºC.

Sample submission: Water samples may be submitted to the water quality laboratory chemist for analysis.
